Drug Description:
MECTIMITE TABLETS (Ivermectin) is a semisynthetic

Indications:
Mectimite is indicated for scabies treatment,
non-disseminated strongyloidiasis, and onchocerciasis caused by Strongyloides
stercoralis and Onchocerca volvulus, respectively
Dosage and Administration:
The recommended dosage for
scabies and strongyloidiasis is a single oral dose providing about 200 mcg of
Ivermectin per kg of body weight For onchocerciasis, a single oral dose
providing approximately 150 mcg of Ivermectin per kg of body weight is
recommended
Side Effects:
Ivermectin is generally well-tolerated, with
side effects such as asthenia, abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhea,
dizziness, pruritus, and rash reported
Drug Interactions and Precautions:
Co-administration of
Ivermectin with warfarin may rarely lead to increased INR Precautions must be
taken during pregnancy, lactation, and pediatric use Careful consideration is
advised for elderly patients with hepatic, renal, or cardiac function
impairment

presented in blister packs of 1×10 and should be stored below 25°C
