Description

Avate:

Dermatological Solution Overview Composition: Avate comprises Methylprednisolone Aceponate (0.1% ww), a specialized formulation containing this active ingredient in a 0.1% concentration by weight.

Description:

Avate, a revolutionary white crystalline powder, exhibits solubility in methylene chloride, acetone, and ethyl acetate. With a molecular formula of C27H3607 and a weight of 472.58, it’s a synthetic corticosteroid, promising in dermatological treatments.

Indications:

Available in 10gm cream and ointment, Avate treats diverse skin conditions: eczema (endogenous, contact, vulgar, degenerative, and dyshidrotic) and psoriasis in adults and children.

Pharmacological Action:

Avate Cream’s Methylprednisolone Aceponate showcases anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties by binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors.

Contraindications:

Avoid Cream in viral diseases, tuberculous/syphilitic processes, post-vaccination skin reactions, or on the face with rosacea, acne vulgaris, or perioral dermatitis. Hypersensitivity to Methylprednisolone Aceponate is a critical contraindication.

Adverse Reaction:

Localized symptoms like itching, burning, erythema, and rare adverse effects such as atrophic changes may occur during treatment.

Dosage and Administration:

Apply a thin layer once daily to affected areas, adhering to the recommended duration (up to 12 weeks in adults, 4 weeks in children) to prevent complications.

Precautions:

Avoid prolonged use, especially in children, to prevent adrenal suppression. Prevent contact with eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes. Cease steroid use in spreading infections and discontinue Avate at the first sign of hypersensitivity.

Presentation:

This Cream comes in a 10gm plastic tube for convenient use.

Conclusion:

Avate, with Methylprednisolone Aceponate, targets eczema and psoriasis. Carefully consider contraindications and potential adverse effects for safe and effective use.
