suspected. Conditions it addresses include psoriasis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, lichen planus, eczema, intertrigo, dyshidrosis, seborrheic dermatitis, and more
Dosage and Administration
For effective results, apply a thin film of BETAGENIC Cream/Ointment to completely cover the affected area twice daily, in the morning and at night. Some patients may require less frequent application for maintenance therapy
Adverse Reactions
Reported adverse reactions may include burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, and allergic contact dermatitis. Occlusive dressings may lead to maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, and miliaria. Treatment with Gentamicin may occasionally cause transient irritation (erythema and pruritus)
Contraindications
Patients with a history of sensitivity reactions to any of its components should not use BETAGENIC Ointment.
 Precautions
- Â Discontinue use if irritation or sensitization develops
- Â Topical corticosteroids can lead to systemic absorption, especially in infants and children, so exercise caution, particularly with extensive or prolonged use
- Â Topical antibiotics can occasionally result in overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms, including fungi
- Â Not for ophthalmic use
- Â Pediatric patients may be more susceptible to topical corticosteroid effects
 Over-dosage
Excessive or prolonged use of topical corticosteroids may suppress pituitaryadrenal function, leading to secondary adrenal insufficiency. Treatment involves appropriate symptomatic measures. A single overdose of
