SPECTRAZOLE: Effective Relief for Fungal Skin Infections

Composition of SPECTRAZOLE CREAM:

 Each gram contains
Betamethasone (dipropionate) BP 05mg (005% w/w) and Clotrimazole BP 10mg (1%
w/w) in a cream base

Mechanism of Action:

 Spectrazole cream
synergizes the broad-spectrum antifungal activity of Clotrimazole with the
sustained anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive actions of
Betamethasone dipropionate Clotrimazole is known to act on the fungal cell
membrane, leading to the disruption of cell contents

Indications:

 Spectrazole Cream is
indicated for the topical treatment of the following dermal infections: Tinea
pedis, Tinea cruris, and Tinea corporis caused by Trichophyton rubrum,
Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Micro-sporum canis It
is also effective against Candidiasis due to Candida albicans

Dosage:

 Gently massage an
adequate amount of Spectrazole cream into the affected and surrounding skin
areas twice daily, in the morning and evening, for two weeks in Tinea cruris,
Tinea corporis, and Candidiasis For Tinea pedis, continue treatment for four
weeks

Adverse Reactions:

 Reported adverse
reactions to the combination of Clotrimazole and Betamethasone dipropionate
include paresthesia, maculopapular rash, edema, and secondary infections
Adverse reactions to Clotrimazole alone include erythema, stinging, blistering,
peeling, edema, pruritus, urticaria, and general skin irritation Topical
corticosteroids may lead to burning, itching, irritation, dryness,
folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral
dermatitis, contact dermatitis, skin maceration, and secondary skin infections

Contraindications SPECTRAZOLE CREAM:

Spectrazole is
contraindicated in patients with a history of sensitivity reactions to any of
its ingredients, as well as other corticosteroids
