Composition:

Each tablet contains Terbinafine (as HCI) 250mg USP Specs

Indications:

Tinea capitis Onychomycosis (fungal nail infection) caused by dermatophyte fungi

Fungal skin infections, including tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and yeast infections caused by Candida (e.g., Candida albicans) when oral therapy is considered appropriate due to the site, severity, or extent of the infection

Administration:

Adults: 250mg once daily

Children: No data available for children under 2 years of age. For children between 2 and 12 years, the dosage varies based on weight. Consult a healthcare provider for appropriate dosing

Duration of Treatment:

• Treatment duration varies based on the type and severity of the infection
• Complete resolution of symptoms may take several weeks after mycological cure
• For toenail onychomycosis, treatment typically lasts 612 weeks

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the excipients
• Chronic or active liver disease
• Patients with impaired renal function should receive half the normal dose

Special Warnings and Precautions:

• Elderly patients may require the same dosage as younger patients, but the possibility of preexisting
  liver or kidney impairment should be considered
• Terbinafine tablets should be discontinued if any symptoms of liver dysfunction occur, such as nausea, abdominal pain, or jaundice
• Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, severe lactose deficiency, or glucosegalactose malabsorption should not take Cutis tablets
• Use with caution in patients taking drugs metabolized by CYP2D6

• Rare side effects may include hepatobiliary dysfunction, taste disturbances, neutropenia, agranulocytosis, and thrombocytopenia
• Very rare side effects include serious skin reactions, anaphylactoid reactions, and blood
  disorders
